INTRODUCTION
The reciprocating piston engine is the most influential machine ever invented by mankind. From its early beginnings as a steam engine, the piston engine has revolutionized the way we live, work, and travel
In this course we will covers basic diesel engine operation including the function, operation and maintenance of the air intake system, fuel system, exhaust system, lubricating oil system, and cooling system. we will learn how we can catch problems before they become bigger, more expensive ones, we will encounter, and the types of routine inspections participants will be expected to carry out. Also, this course includes diesel engine operation, including how the diesel cycle differs from other types of engine cycles. also introduces several major diesel engine components and moves on to cover shop safety and tools. Moreover, it will cover all aspects of a modern diesel engine and associated systems including the modern injection systems, exhaust gas recirculation EGR system and engine management system and Some engine problems, we will teache you about diesel engine components, it’s systems, it’s terminology, and diesel engines basic cycles. If you’re an automotive engineer or automobile engineer, then learning and mastering the inner workings of diesel engines is of great importance
